Red Cliffs 8th Ward
2025 Temple & Family History Plan
We will host quarterly ward temple excursions. This includes youth to do baptisms. The Elders and Relief Society will promote the trips.
We will arrange for a ward excursion to the FamilySearch Center.
An annual Ancestor’s Potluck will be held. Families will be encouraged to research a family tradition as part of the event. The Elders, Relief Society and Activities leaders will host the event.
We will host an indexing competition between youth and adults. Results will be based on a per-capita basis. It will be held for two weeks and done with “Rapid Name Review”.
All ward members who have a temple recommend will be encouraged to set their next temple appointment before completing their current one.
Our stake leaders have set goals: 1. For every member 8 years and older to record their testimony and add it to Family Search. 2. Ward members ages 8 years and up will have a FamilySearch account. 3. Each month members 12 years and up will find an ancestor, reserve their name and complete their ordinances in the temple.
Approved by the Ward Council on November 24, 2024
President Russel M. Nelson promised: "Your time in the temple SURELY WILL CHANGE your life." (October 2024)
